Paris…

Hi Beanie Fans

Missy and I had a wonderful time in Paris at the end of our trip.

I loved having croissants for breakfast and baguettes for lunch! :)

While we were there we visited heaps of great places and saw some wonderful sites. We went to the Louvre Museum (twice!), saw the Eiffel Tower, climbed to the top of Notre Dame Cathedral, walked along the famous Champs-Elysees and visited the Palace of Versailles.

We had a wonderful time; it may even have been my favourite place that we visited. After six nights in Paris it was time to come home to Beanie Island.

We are so glad to be back now. Traveling is fun but very tiring. I got a little homesick while I was away but we have come back to the Island with some great photos and memories from our time in Italy and France.

I will upload some photos of our Paris visit soon so keep checking back.

Happy to be Home!

Photos from Nice

Hi Beanie Fans,

Here are some of our lovely photos from Nice, France. It was so windy the day we took these photos you will see Miss Beanie’s hair blowing all over the place. I especially like the last photo - we almost got blown right over the wind was so strong hehe.

Because Europe is in the top half of the world (Northern Hemisphere), the seasons are the opposite of Australia’s. Right now it is Autumn in Europe so it is getting quite cold and windy coming up to Winter. But over in Australia it is Spring right now and warming up for Summer.  I can’t wait to get back to the warmer climate of the Southern Hemisphere!

MB and BM in Nice, France!

Bonjour Beanie Fans

Missy and I have just spent a lovely three days in a place called Nice (pronounced niece) on the French Rivera. Unfortunately it rained the entire time that we were there but somehow it was still very beautiful! I would love to go back again and see it in some better weather.

While we were staying there we caught the train along the coast to Antibes and to Cannes where they hold the International Film Festival each year.

Missy and I have been eating baguettes for lunch and trying some very scrumptious French chocolate and pastries -YUM!!!

We are onto Paris next. I am very excited that I will finally be able to visit the famous art gallery called the Louvre. I can’t wait to see the Mona Lisa to see if her eyes really will follow me all around the room!

I will let you all know how it goes and I will post some more photos soon.

Au Revoir!

Hi Beanie Fans,

Here are some photos from our Sorrento & Florence trips. See if you can spot the volcano Mount Vesuvius in some of the photos from Sorrento. There’s also a funny photo from Florence where it looks like I am pushing the belltower of the famous Duomo - hehe. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Sorrento and Florence!

Hi Beanie Fans

Over the last week and a half Miss Beanie and I have been to Sorrento and Florence in Italy. They were both lovely but quite different from each other.

Sorrento is a beautiful town overlooking the Bay of Naples and extending from the Bay up the surrounding cliffs. All around there are lemon and orange trees and olive trees as well.

While staying in Sorrento we caught the train to Pompeii to see the ancient ruins. In 79 AD the volcano Mount Vesuvius erupted and destroyed the town. Recently it has been excavated and you can wander through many of the ancient houses. It was interesting to see how the ancient Roman people lived.

After Sorrento, Missy and I moved onto Florence. Florence is a wonderful place to visit. The city is surrounded by beautiful green tuscan hills and valleys. There was lots to see including the famous Duomo which is a huge church. Missy and I climbed nearly 500 steps up to the top of its dome and from there we could see some specatcular views.

Stay tuned for some photos!

Now onto France…

Arrivederci!
