Ciao Beanie Fans!
Missy and I have been in Rome for the last three days and we have three more to go.
Rome (or Roma as they call it here) is a beautiful place. You can be walking along and all of a sudden - POW! A gorgeous ancient building with columns and domes is right in front of you and you just have to explore it!
Today we went on a tour of the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica. I still can’t believe how HUGE they were. It was mind-boggling! We weren’t allowed to take photos inside the Sistine Chapel but we could inside the rest of St. Peters and the Vatican museum. I will post these photos up soon.
Before I go here are some interesting facts about Vatican City…
- It is the world’s smallest country
- It has a population of under 1000 people
- It is 0.44 square kilometers in area
- The Roman Catholic Pope is the ruler of Vatican City
Well I’m off to bed now. It is getting very late here.
