Hi Beanie Fans

Many of you requested that the Collectors Guide remain available in a printed version rather than online. So with this feedback in mind I am very pleased and excited to announce that a new PRINTED Collectors Guide will be released June this year! Hello BK Fans!

Here on Beanie Island we’ve been having lots and lots of meetings to try and come up with some new and exciting ideas for the Beanie Collectors of the world. We probably could have had a lot less meetings, but Rosemary the Chef Bear and Candice the Chocolatier Bear keep bringing in lots of treats for us to nibble on and we hardly get any work done!

One of the ideas we did manage to come up with between munching away on raspberry scones and delicious chocolate-dipped fruit platters was a mini Collect & Get series, so we thought that we would come to the blog and ask what you all thought of the idea.

With this new series idea there would be a set of four regular Beanie Kids released into stores over a number of months that would all be part of a new theme. Along with them would be an online passport that gave you access to a very special and rare bear that would only be available once you had collected all of the original four bears.

What do you all think of this idea? Would you be interested in a new mini series collection like this? And what great new mini series themes would you like to see?

Ahoy there shipmates and welcome aboard the QE 3 (Queen Eliza 3)

The prettiest boat afloat! I hope you can join my all-girl crew as we go on adventures around the Islands of the Carribeanie. We love spending time hunting for treasure so that we can go shopping for new outfits and items to make life on our ship a little more luxurious and comfortable. I love to change the look of the QE 3 to match the seasons. You may have noticed that my favorite colour is pink and I love flowers. I’ve recently updated all the curtains and upholstery with a summer floral pattern. It really brightens up the place. Last week we found a treasure chest full of exclusive perfumes so now the ship smells as lovely as it looks.

Tomorrow is the monthly ship’s fashion parade. Shanty had been spending hours creating new outfits with bits and pieces she has found onboard and Jackie has been preparing the catwalk in her own crafty way to make it look fantastic.

Peggy the parrot is not only handy at finding islands from up high, she is also a great cook and can whip up amazing tasty pirate treats. Whenever she’s cooking, Captain Woodeye’s ship is never far away. His crew is always sniffing around for a feed.

Since it’s Valentine’s Day I’m getting the crew to stitch big red hearts onto the sails and I’ve found a map of nearby Fudgy Island, famous for its cocoa beans and Chocolate river. We are going to hunt for a chest full of chocolate and gold hearts, but we better hurry before old Woodeye gets his greedy hands on it.

What a day of celebration I’ve had! I drove to the Picnic Ground for an Australia Day BBQ with my new friend Captain Australia. (Every day is Australia Day for Captain Australia).

I brought the footy and the cricket set and Captain Australia brought the sausages, lamingtons and pavlova. We were all set to have a great day until we realised neither of us had anything to light the BBQ with!

On the other side of the picnic ground we noticed a bright red and yellow dragon decorating a pavilion with beautiful red lanterns. His name was Sizzle the Chinese Dragon. He was celebrating the 2012 Chinese New Year. Seeing that dragons breathe fire we asked if he could light out BBQ for us. He was more than happy help out and we gladly shared the sausages with him.
