What The Future Holds

I read Adam's story, and it gave me an idea, if you think mine is to similar, I will delete. (:

I am really bad at keeping it in the same tense, past, present, future etc.
so if you see any changes, could you tell me?

I am also bad at first chapters, which is introducing the characters, so if the first chapter is a bit clingy, the next chapters will make more sense.

Chapter 1

One day I will look back at my past, and smile. Because my life is just fantastic, I have a great family, and some nice friends, too. Who could ask for more?

I am Amalia McKinley, a past sixth grader, and a soon highschooler, I am twelve and I have golden hair, with green eyes. I have an older sister, Izzy, she is fourteen, and going into grade ten, she is very supportive to me.
I live with mum and dad, near Berwon River, and I can remember many great memories living there. I've lived there all my life.

Why am I telling you this?
Well, it's part of my story of my wonderful life, that you will read sooner or later.


One thing that is really going to make my life unforgettable, is highschool.
Yep. I said it, I am going to highschool soon this year, and it's going to be great.
And how I plan on doing that? Well, simple,
I make good friend's, and spend highschool with them!

That is my goal; to have a great time with my friends.
For some reason, I love my friends,
I love having them around, just because,
they get you, unlike the random girl sitting over there, or the girl who gets detention every week.

Grade six was the best schooling year for me yet, I met so many people, and I never got bullied, I just had a great time, I was always known, and I was a nice person, and people were nice to me back. It was great! I could do anything I wanted, without be harassed, and I just hope that highschool will be a repeat.

Izzy is always telling me stories about her adventures of highschool, and how exciting it is, I just really would love to experience what she did. In every subject there was a story; Maths, Science, History, English, Phys Ed, and more. All these subjects hold a new and exciting challenge.

Now to introduce my friends; Emily, Bella, and Catherine, are my three best friends, Bella is twelve, but Emily and Catherine are still eleven, their birthdays will be later on in the year. Catherine is the best of the three, she is funny, smart, pretty, and is just generally a very nice person, we are the closest, and have been friends since grade one, she is always with me.

Finally, I would like you to meet Sophie.
Sophie is my pet dog, yeah,
sounds just about right?
You might think Sophie is a mini little maltese.
Well, no. Sophie is a Border Collie, she means the world to me.

Ever afternoon I will come home and will cuddle her up, she is a very cute and big cuddly pillow,
she always loves to be sooked, and I like to sook her up, she is just amazing.


I guess, now that I have introduced you to everyone you need to know, so far,
I might go watch TV.

Chapter 2

I flick through the channels, about five times, and all that seems to be on is junk, usually I can always find something on that is interesting, I guess not today.

I turn the TV off, and walk into my bedroom, pick up my phone, and ring Bella, seeing as though that’s all I can really do. I hear the phone ringing, for about fifteen seconds before she answers.
“Uh, hello?” she asks.
“Hey, Bella, it’s Amalia,” I say into my phone.
“Oh, hey Amalia, what are you up to?” she asks again.
“Nothing too extreme,” I answer. “How about you?” I ask her.
“Well I’m getting ready to go to my grandparents, so I can’t talk for too long,” she says.
“Okay,” I say.
“Well, I better keep getting ready. Bye.” Bella replied.
“Bye.” I say.

I go into the kitchen and open up the fridge, and get a drink. I then sit down on the couch. I open up a magazine, and turn the pages until I get to my favourite section; ‘Oh No!’, it's about mistakes, and what I'm really excited to see is whether my entry got published or not.
I scan them all, nope, not there,
I frown, but I guess that's okay, maybe next month.

Izzy walks in,
“Hey, what are you doing?” she asks.
“Just reading my magazine,” I reply
“Oh, cool,” she says. I smile then Izzy leaves the room.
