October New Releases
Ellen the Elf bear
* PENot many people know about Ellen the Elf Bear. She is one of Santa Paws’ secret helpers. Her job is to go find out who has been naughty or nice on Beanie Island. Ellen is so good at sneaking around that nobody ever sees her. She wears a magical chameleon coat that changes colour in an instant so that she blends into the background. Ellen also wears a beautiful pair of magical pointed shoes that allows her to fly short distances. Ellen is a very hi tech elf. She uses an iPad to make her list of naughty and nice Beanies and then emails it to Santa for him to check. The only way you know that Ellen is about is when you hear her iPad starting up. So if you ever hear someone sending an email but can’t see anyone around, make sure you’re on your best behaviour. Ellen might be watching you.
Howl the Werewolf Bear
*Most of the time Howl is just your average Beanie Kid. That is until a full moon rises into the night sky. Then Howl begins to change! He starts craving for hamburgers, extra rare! His body starts to expand. His claws and teeth grow and in a blink of an eye he becomes a werewolf! This can be rather embarrassing especially when his clothing begins to rip. So many friends on Beanie Island have seen his “Bear Bottom”! Although Howl looks ferocious he is just a big puppy dog. When Howl wakes up in the morning he doesn’t remember anything. He just looks at his torn clothing and wonders why he has an urge to chase cars and catch tennis balls in his mouth!
Chloe the Calf Bear
*Chloe the Calf Bear has just arrived on the farm. Her crib is full of soft warm hay so she can nibble away at her bed during the night. But her favourite food is milk. She likes chocolate, strawberry and banana flavoured milk but her favourite milk comes straight from her mummy. She especially likes it when her mummy jumps around before a feed, then Chloe gets a bubbly milkshake! During the day Chloe likes to frolic in the lush field and eat buttercups. Every Friday night all the cows in the barn like to watch DVDs and eat butter flavoured popcorn. They call it “An Udder Night at the Moooovies”!
Bogey the Pink Bear
*Beanie Kids have been wondering where Bogie has come from. Who knows? Or should we say whose nose!! Was she picked from many others to arrive on Beanie Island or did she just shoot out of nowhere? Bogie lives in a very unusual house made from hundreds of handkerchiefs sewn together which is very handy since Bogie always seems to have a cold and is constantly sneezing. She always makes sure that she has a box of tissues where ever she goes.
Megan the Spring Fashion Bear
*Megan hates winter. She thinks it’s so gloomy and drab. That’s why she can’t wait for spring to begin. She loves going shopping for the latest spring fashions and spends hours trying on new clothes. Her record is trying on forty outfits in one day. Megan works as a model during the spring months. Her appointment book is always full. Coco the Fashion Designer Bear uses Megan as her Top model in all of her fashion parades. Megan particularly likes going to “The Beanie Town Cup” – “The race that stops an Island!” All the big fashion labels want Megan to be in their marque. This year Megan will be wearing a lovely pink floral satin number with matching shoes from the highly regarded label “The House on Mary Lou”. Hair is by Dyeanne.
Sahara the Leopard Bear
* CKSahara is one fast cat! She can run from Beanie Town to Beanie Bay in ten minutes. That is a trip that usually takes half a day! She loves spending time with Lenny the Leopard and Spotty the Leopard Bear. Together the three of them play the faster game of chasey you will ever see! The other day Postie the Bear asked Sahara if she would deliver the mail while he went on holidays. She said yes. That will probably be the fastest mail delivery in the history of Beanie Island!

RioRio is a funny movie that I think is great for all ages. The messageI got from it is is that all of us can fly- we all can achieve amazing things and we're all worth it.
