I will be posting my personal recount with a cameo inserted inside a did for a test. I personally hate it but I won a few awards for it tho. Tongue

Big on writing?!

Lets swap schools then!
My school doesn't really give a damn about Writing; the only award you get is getting it published in the Newsletter for the school plus the Parish to read.  Roll Eyes\

The Budding Seed

I pushed and wriggled my frail body as my delicate head rose above the soil; I shivered in the cold around me. Rain drenched my body; I drank it eagerly, it giving me strength against the monstrous wind.

Day by day I slowly grew, bony limbs reached towards the sky, my bald head concealed by a luxurious beanie of leaves.

The wind threw me to and fro, battering my gnarled body, tearing my beanie to shreds. My limbs flailed, exhausted in the air, the wind pulled me until I was standing tall yet a lone naked tree limbless, tired and dying. I fell to the ground.

“Ok FREEZE” an ear-splitting voice erupted in my ears. I lay sprawled on the soil-like carpet “That was excellent guys!” Matua Pere’s voice boomed. “Can we get up now” children’s voices echoed ringing in my ears. We were in the middle of our first activity for the day “Drama” and so far I loved every second of it. We had just finished pretending to be a seed slowly blossoming into a tree, then falling to the ground. “Ok, now pretend you’re a baby chicken breaking out of your egg” was all I heard before my mind wandered…

I poked one webbed foot out of my egg prison and stared around me with beady eyes, my yellow feathers fluffed up adorably, here we go again…

Everyone says that but personally I hate that story of mine. I wrote it for a Writing Test.
Then I got a GIANT score...
Then my teacher read it to the staff..
Then it was put in the Newsletter..
Then I entered it in a writing comp....which thousands entered and I got first in yr 7,I got a cert and book voucher..and my school gave me a stationary set lol...and I HATED that story. I kinda wish it was a better one of mine.

I like longish ones.
I wrote a long story a few years ago,it had a great plotline but I lost the book it was written in,I would like to rewrite it because I was nine when I orginally wrote it so it probably sounds LAME. Tongue
