my story: not yet completed:
The Beginning
I’ve always known I was different, back then I really didn’t know why. But at school, I was treated normally, even though the thought of me being different spun around there minds. But they never knew, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. But maybe, just maybe, I could have had the courage, to tell who I really was. But then I would’ve had to make it convinsive. I mean, who would believe it, someone as old as me claiming to be something that’s apparently impossible to the human mind, wow, don’t they need a reality check. But who? Who could I be? Well.. I have had many conspiracies about my type.... movies, television shows, books and even plays.... which only have small parts that could be considered true...... But wait! That can’t be possible... I mean, YOU wouldn’t believe its true.... Blood craving, Runs at the speed of light, pale skin, bite marks on victims... I’m a Vampire... Believe it, or not. Now we have that cleared up... Time to get back to my story... If it’s not too painful for me to remember... My life was very complicated when I was given the surprise shock of how long my teeth look in the mirror, and being unbelievably hungry at the faintest sight of blood, but I coped for the first years of my premature stage of vampirism, if that’s even a word. It all starts back last year, when it was approximately 1 month after my birthday. My mother was acting a little odd that morning as I still had not of opened many of my presents. “Why don’t you open them?” My mother asked curiously “There are people in the world that deserve these things more than me!” I snapped. “Well many people went to trouble to get these things for you, I certainly know I did” Mum replied in a cross voice. “Well, if it it’s SO important, I’ll open yours in the afternoon, the bus would be here now, I’m running late” I replied as I grabbed my bag and headed for the door. “WAIT!” mum yelled grabbing my arm, holding it so tight I thought my circulation would stop. “Ow!” I yelled, pulling my arm away from her tight grip, “mum! What was that about!?” I Demanded, She had the most weirdest look on her face, you really couldn’t decide what she was think, all I know was the last time she ever used that face was 4 years ago when she took my brother to this big mansion, she came home crying, claiming he ran away.... but, how was I to know back then that he was changed into a vampire..... He was so distressed he never came home. I jus stood there, staring at her, her eyes were filled with tears as she wiped them with her sleeve, “Mum, what’s going on” I snapped, “Am I going to the same place as Jake? He disappeared because of that place remember!” I yelled, I was confused, everything just didn’t make sense. She gulped as she pulled me over to the door, “Nothing will happen, I’m sure....” She said as it became more and more obvious that she was lying. We didn’t speak for the whole car ride, not a word. We drove up into the country, where there millions of huge black and white cows scattered along the field. I was starting to think mum was over reacting, until I found out where we were going. We drove up into the high way, and into a drive way, “Mum, look it’s private property” I said as she slowly steeped out of the car to open the gate, For some reasoned the wind started to pick up, it was getting dark and cold on the way down the long drive way.... “It’s 8 am..... And it looks like its midnight.... And even the stars are out!” I said, fascinated by my surroundings. “Just don’t open the window” Mum snapped as we drove down. I closed the window, looking into the dark ragged forest. “ Is it just me, or are they people walking in the forest?” I asked. “Of course they are people...” Mum replied quietly as we finally arrived at a humongous dark, ragged wooden building. “Looks like this thing has been here for years” I said walking slowly steping out of the car. We walked slowly up the uneven black grass; I could still see the people in the forest watching me walk towards the building. Mum knocked on the door and waited for an answerer, so I decided to wonder off into the forest, until a young girl with her hair up sprung in front of me, she was panicking..... She looked like she needed to escape. “d-d-don’t go in there! Please, please don’t” she ran off before I could reply, Know things were getting freaky, I was confronted with a idiotic woman pleading me not to go in, mum was in a state of panic, and I had no idea where I was...... Until she tapped me on the shoulder “Mum!” I said in relief,” “don’t go wondering of on a day like this!” she snapped pulling me back to the door, “I’m sorry but I must leave know.... you need to stay there for a few days” Mum replied softly “For one, last time someone in our family went in here! They never came out! And two, I have no stuff packed!” I exclaimed, she sighed as she got into the car and drove of “Wait!....” I yelled “don’t go....”. So know I panicked, as I sat down at the door step waiting, just waiting for someone to come and explain this mess to me, maybe they misstated me for some one?, for all I knew, this wasn’t going to be a nice holiday. I sat at the door for about half an hour.... as it started to rain, as it poured down I got up to bang on the door “LET ME IN!, IT’S FREEZING!” no one answered, so I slammed myself into the door “ouch!, maybe just waiting might help” I said in pain. Time went past.... the ran still poured down as I sat there..... Still waiting for someone to bother opening the door for me. Until a creaking noise came behind me, the door, finally!. But there was no one there. But didn’t care... anything to get out of the rain.... so I got up and walked into the house.... the lights where of... there were candles lit everywhere, sandstone walls and yellow carpet on the floors, and a large spiralling wax wood stair case going up through the ceiling. “Hmm” I said as I walked to into the house, but Bam! The door closed right behind me, I didn’t turned around, I had the most petrified look on my face as I closed my eyes praying that it was a dream, but I couldn’t help it, I had to open it, what if a freak lived here? I mean, how I would get out! So I rushed to the door, “locked!” I yelled “but....but.... the no look on this door......it...it doesn’t even have a knob to open it!”. The funder became even louder. I used all my energy to push the door open, “ Back door!, every house has a back door, right?” Without think twice I ran through the corridors to a open door, But a large Woman, Tall and skinny peered through another door, “Dear, dear dear. Haven’t you got yourself into a mess, do you know what you let your mother do!” She asked putting a dry towel around me. “No?, is this your house? What am I doing here? Is Jake here?” I asked, still panicking. “Shhh! No questions please, the master has been expecting you for a long time, I tried to convince him, but his word, is his word!” The lady replied taking me up the stair case, to a large corridor, lined in the red carpet, but along this huge corridor, there was only one room, but the rest of the walls where filled of pictures, some leading back to the 1500’s. “By the way, I’m Lucinda, if you need anything, just ask me” she added “Answers...” I smirked. “Oh you’re stubbin, just like your brother” she replied laughing, I pushed her away “You know who my brother is? TELL ME!” Lucinda tried to calm me down “after this little meeting and some things after that, you can ask anything you want” she snapped “What ‘things’” I replied curiously, “ Not right know please!” Lucinda Snapped as she opened the door, “But wait!” I added... but she wasn’t there, disappeared into thin air. But I had other things to worry about, should I leave? Or take the risk of walking into the room. I didn’t want to end like my brother, gone forever. But being my stubborn self, I stepped into the room...
Déjà Vu I found a man sitting on a large golden chair surrounded by many people, with pale skin, blue eyes, and nice clothing on too. “Come in! Come in!, I have been expecting you Kealah!” The man exclaimed, as he walked around me, examining me, and wondering about something.... he walked back to his chair, and had a sigh of relief. All of the sudden the door opened, It was Lucinda, she walked off to the man and sat at the other chair, they smiled at each other, “Who is this?” She asked “Who we have searched, and searched for my dear” he replied, holding her hand. Lucinda’s smile turned into a gin as she let of a tear, she turned around to me. I was to confused to worry about the strange people behind me holding the door shut as Lucinda stood up and cleared her throat, “Welcome home Darling!” By that time my head was spinning, going round and round, I was wondering, did she say DARLING? What does she mean? “Excuse me?” I asked slowly backing towards the door, “You didn’t tell her!?” Lucinda yelled, “Eh” The man replied “Pfft, never leave a man to do a woman’s job...” Lucinda replied rolling her eyes. “What about me!, if she’s really who you think she is then I should have some say in this!” yelled a voice from the crowed, A tall girl with long blonde wavy hair pushed through the crowed. With her chin held high, she walked around me inspecting me. “Tara!, she’s your sister! It is disrespectful!” snapped the man “s-s-s-sister?” I quietly said “Apparently” replied Tara as she pushed through the exit,i cleared my throat and walked closer to the door “ I’m sorry, but you have the wrong person.... I’m not part of your family” Lucinda and the man looked at each other so close to bursting out into laughter, “Honey! Do you think that Lisa would’ve dropped you off into a deep dark forest full of freaky pale people and let you stay here for no apparent reason?” Replied Lucinda slowly walking over to me. “No” I replied shaking, “I will explain everything in the morning, get a good night’s rest, I promise” Lucinda replied walking through the door, I had had enough, I was shaking wet, and had no idea why my mother dropped me off to a house of freaks, I couldn’t understand, Without a second thought, I turned around and ran for the door, two woman grabbed me to calm me down, I didn’t care. I shook my arms to make them lose grip, but it was no use. They slowly walked me to my room, which was huge if I must add, it was red themed, big book shelves, a wardrobe, desk, and a large bed, which was made of fine silk.... at least that calmed me down a little, “See you tomorrow, Kealah” The lady whispered as she left the room. I looked around my room, walked around for a while and sat at the window, looking out at the rain, “Mum, come back, please”. That night I couldn’t sleep, I tossed and turned that night, so I decided to have a walk out in the corridor, walking slowly, down the red and black carpet holding the blanket around me, slowly stepping down the hall way, glancing at the old pictures, during a dark cold and stormy night.... I couldn’t stop thinking about what Lucinda was talking about, “I can’t be related to them” I convinced myself to believe this was just a dream, a dream I will never wake up from, The rain was still pouring out side, and the people in the forest where still wondering around in the dark, It was becoming more cold, and more darker as a huge gust of wind blew through the windows, that blew out all the candles, except for one... the candle was below a picture of a little girl playing with her doll in a garden, surrounded by roses. She had wavy short brown hair with nice tanned skin, just like me. “How do I remember that photo?” I asked myself, wiping the dust away with my sleeve. There was also a slip of paper jammed into the frame, “What’s this?” I asked myself gently pulling it out of the frame. I was a picture and a message from the little girl in the photo, “ Dear mamά and Papά, This is you, me and Jake with the lady you say I’ll be living with for a while, by Kealah Esperanza”. I gulped, “She has the same name.... Same appearance...... and same family...... maybe Lucinda’s right.... I am her daughter...” I scrunched the paper and threw it against the wall with all my might. I leant against the wall and slowly fall to the floor, “Kealah Esperanza” I said to myself in amazement.... “ But-but-why would they give me away if they loved me so much” I asked myself leaning over to grab the piece of paper, I held it to my heart and prayed for more answers, not just some, all of them. I managed to get myself of the floor and into bed, constantly getting Déjà Vu thoughts of the mansion. That night I still could not sleep, wondering why I have no memories of the mansion, nut that isn’t the only thing on my mind, so if Jake is still considered as my brother, and lived here..... Then where is he?” does he still live here, but couldn’t be bothered to see his sister again after 4 years, well at least that was one of the millions of questions I was going to ask Lucinda tomorrow. But as it turns out, I wasn’t going to be waking up for a while....
Bite mark In a room below my room, I could hear Lucinda and the man talking all night. Constantly people kept walking in and out of the room, talking to my parents. I stayed up for the rest of the night, texting my adoption mum, waiting.... just waiting for her to reply...... but all I got was one word..... “exception!?” Is that all she has to say?, I exclaimed, slamming my phone into the wall. But all of the sudden.... the talking stoped, The house fell silent as foot steps came up the staircase, slowly... it was Mum and Tara, “Sweat hart.... wake up!” Lucinda whispered as she opened the door, “I’m awake...” I replied slowly getting out of bed. “Tara wait outside” Mum relied... “Yes mother” Tara snapped waiting outside. “Mum what’s going on?” I asked, she gave me an odd look and smiled. “ Something that should of happend a long time ago” she replied looking in the mirror. “um....mum, I’m sorry but so many things have happend today, I would really like no more surprised, if that’s okay?" I replied grasping onto my arm. Mum just smiled, “Honey, it will be all over in one second! All this! Everything horrible will go away, you won’t ever feel like you could slip from the earth’s hold, It will be better this way” Replied mum slowly walking to my bed, “What’s going?” I asked gulping. She just keptd on walking towards me, until she sat down next to me, placed her hand on my shoulder and pushed back my hair, “Mortality” she whispered into my ear, As she grasped her teeth around my neck, "Tara!!!" I yelled trying to hold back, but I became weak and fainted, As I feel to the ground. I was drained........
