BLURB:
Back at Hogwarts for the last year, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny are expecting a quiet year filled with studying (much to Hermione's delight). All evil and mystery is gone, right? But what happens when Hermione just vanishes?

Harry laughed as Ron told him a hilarious joke. He tried to stop as Madame Rosmerta came with their Butterbeer, but Ron had to say 'thanks' for the both of them. Madame Rosmerta looked expectent, as though waiting for Ron to say something else, for example how beautiful she looked, or what a fine job she does, but Ron turned away from her and sipped his Butterbeer. Rosmerta turned and stalked off.

Harry tried not to burst out laughing again. It had been obvious for the last 6 years that Ron had a crush on Rosmerta. Madame Rosmerta had gotten used to all the compliments and such she recieved from Ron. But now that Ron was going out with Hermione, he wouldn't give any other girl a single look. Hermione had officially become one of Ron's favourite subjects to talk about, along with food and Quiddditch. Harry wondered if Ron actually loved Hermione, but he didn't know for sure.

'Where's Hermione?' Harry blurted out, realising that their friend was not with them yet, and it was strange of her to be late.
'Dunno, I think there was some guy from the Ministry outside who she needed to talk to, now that she's going to work there after Hogwarts.' Ron replied. His Butterbeer was now almost half-gone. 'She's not usually late is she?'
'Exactly.' Harry said. 'She's usually the one scolding us when we're late.'
'Well I guess it's our turn now!' Ron's eyes sparkled with excitement at the thought of scolding Hermione, and he laughed, Harry joining in.

Suddenly, Hermione rushed in to the Three Broomsticks, holding a copy of the Daily Prophet. All thoughts of teasing Hermione were wiped straight out of Ron's head with one look at her. Her face was ghost white and pale, and that frightened Ron.

'Hermione, what is it?' Ron asked, very concerned
Hermione looked to shocked to speak. Instead, she placed The Daily Prophet onto the table and flipped to page 2.

Ron read it out loud.
' "Azkaban Prizoner Escapes
Thursday afternoon, Azkaban guards were walking around the prisons holding the captured Death Eaters, followers of the now deceased You-Know-Who. When passing one of the cells, they noticed that is looked as though it was burst open. Guards realised that one of the prisoners escaped, and went to notify the ministry at once. They then continued investigating. They asked prisoners how that man had been acting lately, and one prisoner said

'He had seemed quite mad, really. Mad in both ways. He was angry, he looked permanently red. He'd walk around mumbling things, where you could only understand 'REVENGE!!!!', which he yelled aloud. I think he may have been so mad, he was able to perform a wandless blasting spell. Gives hope for all us prisoners.'

to which he recieved a slap on the head. However, guards feel that the prisoner is right.
As for the escapee, he is at large, and his whereabouts are unknown. He did, however, leave a message in the cell, carved into the wall. The message said 'I'll get her'. Guards didn't understand that, and thought that may be because he was crazy.

The escapee is very loyal You-Know-Who supporter, Antonin Dolohov."

Oh Hermione!' Ron dropped the paper and gave her a tight hug, practically squishing her. Hermione didn't care. She was too scared. Ron's arms around her was the perfect thing to get rid of her fear.

It was obvious that the message was about her. During the Battle in the Department of Mysteries, she was hit with his curse, and escaped, all because of that silencing charm. She nearly died with that spell, and if it was verbal, then she probably would have died. It was obvious during the Battle of Hogwarts that Dolohov wanted to kill her, but he didn't get a chance to cast the spell because at that moment, he heard people screaming 'He's DEAD! Harry Potter is DEAD!'

Now he was back. And she was scared.

Harry felt strange while Ron read that article. He felt as though there was a cold breeze around him. He shivered. It isn't usually this cold during September, Harry thought.

Ron and Hermione broke apart. Ron looked deep into her eyes and said 'Nothing's going to happen to you Hermione, I promise.'
Hermione wiped some tears away from her eyes and said 'I dont feel like Hogsmeade now. I'm going to go.'
'We'll come with you' Ron replied and stood up. 'Come on Harry'

The walk back was silent. Hermione was walking unusually fast, and Ron and Harry were struggling to keep up. Ron thought he heard a rustle behind him, coming from near the bushes, but ignored it. He sped up to catch up with Hermione.

The rest of the day was silent and uneventful. Hermione finished off all her homework, and practised a few Charms. That evening, she went up the steps to the dormitories early. Ginny was waiting outside her door, watching Hermione.
'You're going now?' Ginny asked
'Yes. I need some sleep.' Hermione answered
'Ok. Well, goodnight.' Ginny replied, turning to go back to her room. She notice Hermione hesitate slightly as she entered her room, but didn't think much of it.



Someone's in here Hermione thought. She closed the door very gently, and looked around her room. No one was there.
'Hello?' Hermione called out, terrifed. She felt something tug at her wand, and instinctly reached out to grab it... but it wasn't there. 'HELLO?!' Hermione called out louder. She walked over to the centre of the room and began turning around on the spot. She finished rotating once, then began a second time. Then she heard a cold, low voice say 'Hello, Hermione.' from behind her. She whirled around and saw an Invisibility Cloak falling down and a body appearing in front of her. Before she could make out who it was, she felt onto the ground.

Yeah this one is a little scarier then the other one, but there's no way I'm getting rid of Hermione. She's my favourite character!

Ok, I'm going soon, so I probably wont have time to post the next.. oh wait, I could try, make it short.

Ginny hurtled up to the breakfast table in the Great Hall quite pale.
'Ginny, you OK? You look pale.' Ron asked
'Should we take you to the hospital wing?' Harry asked anxiously
Ginny took a deep, calm breath and spoke.
'Hermione's missing.'

Ron could practically feel his heart freeze. No, he thought she isn't missing.
'No. She isn't missing.' Ron repeated aloud, trying to convince himself.
'But she is. I went to her dormitory to wake her up, and she wasn't there.' Ginny said
'So? She could have been in the library or somewhere.' Ron replied
'Checked. She is no where. But the thing that confirms it, is that Hermione's bed wasn't made, and it wasn't wrinkled. This means that Hermione wasn't there last night.'
'So where could she be?' Harry asked worriedly.
'I don't know. I told Prof. McGonnagol, and she's getting some people to check around.' Ginny answered. 'Although, I noticed yesterday that when Hermione approached her room, she sort of hesitated - as if she wasn't so sure about entering. Maybe she felt someone was in there.'
'If that's true... and she did enter... then she must have thought she imagined it.' Harry said
'So, if someone was there, she didn't see them.' Ron added.
'Could they have been wearing an Invisibility Cloak?' Harry asked
'It's possible.' Ginny said 'In fact, I have a feeling that's what's happened.'
'After class, we'll have a look around and try and find something.' Ron said. 'We have to find Hermione.'

Ater class, Ron and Harry were walking back to the common room.
'So Harry, where were you at 8 last night?' Ron asked
'I was gone?' Harry was bewildered.
'Uh.. yeah..' Ron answered, confused too. 'At 8 you said "I gotta go, I'll be right back" and left, then after awhile you came back... what did you do yesterday?'
'I... don't remember.' Harry answered honestly. 'The last thing I remember was listening to the article, and then feeling cold and...' Harry realised something very important.
'And what?' Ron asked
'I was imperiused.' Harry finished. 'Think about it, I can't remember anything until I came back, and I remember feeling very cold - that fits the Imperius description!'
'Wow.' Ron let out a breath 'So do you think that has something to do with Hermione's disappearance?'
'Probably. But why would someone want me to kidnap Hermione?'
'Wait.. we all agreed that the Invisibility Cloak was used, right? I remember when I used your cloak, and you havent used it since. I remember putting it back in a certain position. Let's go see if that position changed. If it has - we'll know that you kidnapped Hermione. Unintentionally, of course.' Ron added in a hurry at the sight of Harry's face.
'Ok. What are we waiting for?' and they ran back to the common room.

Harry and Ron raced up the steps of the boys dormitory and into their room. They paused, catching their breath. Then Ron raced over to Harry's trunk and gently but quickly started taking things out. He came to the Invisibility Cloak.
'No.' Ron said. 'It hasn't been used.'
'Oh,ok.' Harry knew that Ron was disappointed that they didn't have any leads, but Harry was relieved. He could have been responsible for kidnapping Hermione! Then again, he had a feeling that he helped out- after all, he was imperiused.
'Do we have anything else to go on?' Ron asked hopefully, getting up from his position on the floor
'No..' Harry said, and he wished he could never see the look of disappointment on Ron's face again. It would have broken anyone's heart. Harry really did miss Hermione, and was very worried, but he knew that Ron missed her in a different way. A way he would probably miss Ginny. Harry's heart sunk as he thought of how he would feel in Ron's position, and it was Ginny who was kidnapped. He would probably be going crazy, not knowing anything.

'Well...' Ron began, and you could practically hear the disappointment in his voice. 'I guess I'm going to do a bit of my homework now in the common room, and go to bed.'
'What about dinner?' Harry asked. Could Ron really miss out dinner?
'I might get something, but I'm not that hungry.' Ron replied and without another word, grabbed his books and left the room.

Ron was looking at his Potions book without really seeing it.
It's not fair, Ron thought, Hermione doesn't deserve this.
He suddenly realised he was in the common room and shook his head, as though it may get rid of the worried thoughts.
He glared at the Potions book, as though it were responsible for his girlfriend's disappearance.
He shook his head once again. Blimey, I'm getting angry at Potions books now. Ron thought Then again, I always hated Potions books, because of Snape. Although I guess Snape isn't that bad, since he was on our side. But he was terrible in class, and
'ARGH!' Ron said out loud. He really needed to concentrate on his homework. But Hermione's not here to help you, a voice said inside his head. You don't want her welcome back surprise to be your bad grades if she comes back. Ron smiled, then realised what he had just thought. IF she comes back? No... I mean when...
Ron realised he wouldn't be getting any homework done, so he decided to go to bed. He still wasn't hungry.

Ron shifted from his position. He couldn't sleep. He wondered what Hermione was doing right now. Was she alright? Was she... alive? What would she do if she was here? Ron smiled as he thought of Hermione's reaction to him not doing his homework. He thought of how her face would soften when she would find out it was because of her. She might hug him. Ron finally drifted off to sleep.

'NO!!!! DON'T!' Ron yelled as Hermione screamed once more
'CRUCIO!' Antonin Dolohov yelled out gleefully again, aiming his wand at Hermione.
'AHHH!!' Hermione screamed again
'PLEASE! STOP! LEAVE HER ALONE!' Ron was begging now. He couldn't believe it. He was begging a Death Eater. But he had to.
'NO!' Dolohov had an evil smirk on his face.
Ron tried to run to Hermione, but he couldn't reach her, as if there was an invisible wall blocking him from her. He couldn't reach her. Hermione was in trouble and he couldn't help her.
'NOO!!!' Ron yelled 'NO--'

'RON! Wake up!' Harry was shaking him. Ron shook his head and sat up in his bed.
'Hermione... she's... I can't ... help her..' Ron was panting
'We'll find her Ron, you just had a nightmare. We'll find her.' Harry repeated. 'Now luckily, I still have a few Dreamless Sleep Poion doses, from the Battle of Hogwarts. Here, they're somewhere in here.' Harry started looking through his trunk, and pulled out a bottle.
Ron took a dose and sighed, leaning back into his pillow. He was so scared that the dream he had wasn't just a dream.
