The Golden Gem
Chapter 1
Bad Guys Over heard
Mark Seala was walking his dog and heard some talking voices in the house of number 3 of Cobradah Court.  Mark went quietly up to the house with his dog Max right behind him.  “This is the plan” Mark new straight away that was the voice of Vally Flate.  Mark new that Vally was a very bad man but the police and everyone else thought he is the best man in the country.  “We leave this time tomorrow to go to the Forest of Evil for the Golden Gem” whispered Vally very loudly “And then I can take over the world! Wha Ha Ha Ha” He Yelled “Be quiet Vally, I think we are being over heard” Said a worker for Vally as he got up from his seat, Mark ran as fast as he could to his house at number 7 Cobradah Court, he shut the door behind him and ran to the phone to call his friends and parents.  But what they said was very sad for mark they said he was being silly as they thought Vally was a very nice man.  Mark slumped into a chair and whispered to himself “Why doesn’t anyone believe me” Then a thought stuck him “I could get the Golden Gem in the Forest Of Evil  before Vally and his men do” But then another thought struck him “I don’t know the way” But then some golden dust came in through the window and placed  a piece of paper on his lap, Mark opened it…..It was a map to the Forest Of Evil…………..

Chapter 2
Mark Meets Friends
Mark started to pack his things for the journey; he packed his clothes some food, water and a tent.  He quickly scribbled a note down on a piece of paper saying
I am off on a journey, won’t be back for a while.
Mark
He placed the note on the door and set off with Max trailing behind him.  After 5 hours of walking Mark sat down, it was getting dark so Mark put the tent together and ate some food and gave a bit to Max, Mark put the map away and went into the tent, got into to his sleeping bag and fell asleep.  He woke up the next morning hearing two voices outside, Mark quietly opened the tent and saw a women and a man whispering something together not noticing they were being watched.  “Excuse me” said Mark very nervously.  The woman and the man turned around “Oh, Hello Mark my name is Sally Stean and this is Cameron Barlie” said the woman, how did she know his name and Sally Stean and Cameron Barlie were very familiar names to him.  He must of being looking confused because the man named Cameron said “We were classmates in high school” then it came to him “Of course I remember now” he said happily “Now look do you..” but he was cut short by Sally “Yes we know Vally Flate is after the golden gem” “But how do you know?” asked Mark “Not the best time to tell you that Mark because he is on his way now to the Forest of Evil” So Mark and his new friends pack up the tent and set of to the Forest of Evil…….

Chapter 3
The Forest of Evil
It was a long journey to the Forest of Evil, it took several stops and several days to get there but when they go to the entrance bad feelings came across them, this wasn’t a good place to be but they needed to go. “Well, let’s go then” Cameron said very nervously.  They set off very slowly they didn’t know where to go and soon they were lost “What now?” asked Mark as they came to a dead end “I think your dog is smelling something, Mark turned around and sure enough Max was walking away sniffing “Let’s follow her” Sally said.  They followed Max for about 20 minutes then they came across an old weird looking man.  “Hello there young folks” he said with a toothless grin, Mark, Cameron and Sally all stepped back very carefully they didn’t think this man was very nice.  “What are you doing here in the Forest of Evil?” He asked curiously.  “We’re here to get the Golden Gem, but we got lost” Mark said bravely “Oh the Golden Gem well I can help you with that I think I got the map here somewhere” the old man pulled out a piece of paper, Mark reached out to get it but the old man pulled it away “Ah but you first have to find me some things” “Like what?” Sally asked “I would like you to find the Silver apple, the rainbow twig, 2 frozen frogs and the golden acorn and then I will give you the map” Said the old man “We’ll do it” Mark said bravely, Sally and Cameron nodded “Okay I will give you a clue for the silver apple and everything else, the silver apple and all the rest are very abnormal things but you can find them in the most normal places there is, bring me the silver apple and everything else and I will give you the map” the man then turned on the spot and vanished “Where did he go?” they all said……

Chapter 4
The Silver Apple
But they couldn’t worry about it now they had to find the things the old man said to get.  “He said they were abnormal things but you can find them in the most normal places” Cameron said “Look for apple trees” Mark whispered, so they set off looking for apple trees they came across about 20 before they reached an apple tree with a silver twinkling object at the top “It’s up there” pointed Sally “ I have some rope in my bag somewhere” She said “Here it is” She started untying the rope “ I will do it, it’s a man’s job” Cameron said “Really, there are heaps of women who can climb trees and I am one of them, its my rope I am using it.” Sally said very annoyed, but they kept on fighting.  Mark finally yelled “STOP ACTING LIKE CHILDREN” “It’s annoying because you’re acting like children when we don’t need to waste time because Valley Flate might already have the golden gem!” Mark Yelled, “Yeah your right we shouldn’t act like Children” Sally said “Yeah, sorry mate, Sally can do it” Cameron said “Thankyou” Sally said as she started to climb the tree………
