The run there was fast smooth; the sun was rising, trying to beat me. I knocked down the door with no trouble at all; the hallway was lightly lit by a faint light. The dust was everywhere, my dress was completely ruined, I walked over to a mirror. I gasped, my face was paler than it normally was, I had dark red eyes, with a hint of black in them, I was breathtaking. I looked like a dead bride...
I walked through the hallway, my fingers lightly running across the walls, it was dark when I reached the living room, my throat began to burn again, and I couldn’t go outside though. I needed to see wether is was sunny or not, I removed the rag from the window, cautious, it was sunny, and yet, I wasn’t burning. I looked at my hand which was directly in the sunlight. It was sparkling, weird. I decided to go outside and experiment, my whole body that was exposed was shining in the sun, my throat burnt again. I needed to find another human. Fast. “I’ve found another one” my head snapped away from my sparkling body and to a man, he had a shot gun in his hand and he was pointing it directly at me...

I was like a rabbit caught in the headlights, I was frozen, unable to move... the man moved closer, he stared at me with beady eyes “Heidi?” he asked, of course he would know me, my father knew everyone in town. “John want like this” he sighed as he pointed his gun at me. “Please” I begged, my own voice surprising me, it was like Jack’s, a melody. “I’m sorry Heidi, but your one of them and you’ve got red eyes” he pointed out. He pulled the trigger “I’m sorry” I whispered, I moved out of the of the bullet. I grasped the man by the neck, pushing him up against the tree, “What are you doing” he gasped, “I’m hungry” I shrugged. The man’s screams were worse than the women’s, I had to finish him off quickly, I could hear the others coming through the forest, and they had their shotguns loaded, ready.
His body was cold and limp, lifeless, the shouts from the other men were getting closer, I could pick out one voice, my fathers. He didn’t know it yet, but he was hunting me. I could see him, he hadn’t changed much since the last time I saw him. He still had that disgusting beard; I think that was why my mother left him in the first place. He spotted me, at first he looked horrified, and then sad... sad that he was going to kill me, or sad that I just killed his friend. He looked away from me, the others hadn’t spotted me yet, they were kicking the dead body, “I think I saw one over here” my father’s voice was hoarse, he pointed in the direction in which they came from, away from me...

I needed to get out of here, the man I knew would never do that for me, but in his eyes, he had pain, loss and pity...
 I ran trying not to draw attention back to myself; I took the forest path, hoping to find a little snack on the way. I felt like a ghost, soaring through the forest, I jumped onto one tree, amusing myself and climbing up it and jumping on the next. I was surprised when a little laugh escaped my lips; the tree shook with my weight, but not too much. The birds up ahead scampered out of the trees. I was humoured by how scared everyone was because of me, I’ve only killed two humans in this life and yet they think it’s so bad, unless I’m not the only vampire in this town...
That can’t possibly be right; the only other vampires I’d met were my creator Jack, and the strange women with him. It can’t possibly them. If I was being honest to myself, I am scared of my own kind. What if they thought I was useless, and decided to make a meal out of me? I was losing concentration and forgot where I was going, I stopped, I was only what five hours old, I was defiantly useless. A shiver ran down my spine, leaving Goosebumps, it was getting darker, and therefore colder, I couldn’t go back to the old house, or I would get shot. The question is what I am doing in the forest if the people that are hunting me are in the forest. Well it was there lose, I could take them out one by one, or leave them, I couldn’t possibly think of the idea of hurting my father anymore. My heart may not beat, but it doesn’t mean I’m heartless...

There may be a few complecations before Heidi joins the Volturi
