Why Me?, and because of my mum I am wearing the ugliest dress in the world and this stupid makeup on my face which is itching and these small high heels that are killing me.  But the most thing that I hate about it is that all the people from school are gonna watch me.  It all started when my parents signed me up for a Beauty Pageant without telling me, you see I am not a girly girl or type to be in Beauty Pageant I am more of a tomboy, well I wasn’t really either of them but I am definitely not a girly girl.


I walked home from netball practise thinking about the new skills my coach taught me.  When I opened the front door my mum came up to me and said “You are now competing in the Little Miss Pretty Beauty Pageant!” I just stared at her trying to believe what she just said. My mum thought sports was rough and I had to ask my dad to give me permission to play netball and my mum went crazy when I told her that I was playing netball.  My dad said to her “Why would a kid like her want to compete in a stupid beauty pageant” My mum argued with him.  I slipped out of the room and went to my bedroom; I grabbed my bag and threw it at the wall.  No one will ever take me seriously ever again if I competed in a Beauty Pageant I thought, I sat on my bed trying to imagine me on stage with a dress on, but I couldn’t the only thing I saw myself wearing was my netball stuff and I was holding a netball.  I screamed into my pillow and yelled “Why Me?!”
