Q. What is Collect & Get?
A. Collect & Get is the new name for the Beanie Kids Redemption Program starting from 2012.
Q. I don't understand this years Collect & Get program?

Q. What are Secret Codes and how do they work?
A. Since August 2011, all new releases of our Beanie Kids have a secret code featured on a second swing tag. This is the code you will need to enter into your online passport to get a free stamp. Read more about Secret Codes here.
Q. My secret code says 'you didn't enter Screech's code!'?
A. This is because you need to buy a Screech the Pirate Bear (RRP $29.99) and enter his secret code first. Screech is the first Pirate in the series and when you enter his code your passport will be activated and you will receive 6 FREE stamps. You cannot enter any other secret codes until you have entered Screech's code first!
Q. My secret code says it is an 'invalid number' when I type it in?
A. We recommend if your secret code does not work the first time, try typing it in again. Remember that numbers 0 and 1 can look the same as letters O or I, so try both. Please double check your number and try again. Also remember that Secret Code's can only be entered once! Once your secret code has been entered into your online passport it cannot be used again!
Q. How many stamps do I need to redeem a free bear?
A. This year's Collect & Get program has 7 bears. You will need to collect 6 stamps to collect each bear. Refer to the table below:

Q. Why do I need to pay $6.95 for Postage & Handling?
A. The $6.95 postage and handling fee covers the cost of posting the bears around Australia, and also includes 1 tag protector attached per bear.
The postage and handling fee applies to all bears in the program.
Q. What payment options are available for my Postage & Handling fee?
A. There are three options available to pay for your bear delivery, they are:
- 'Buy Now' (Credit Card/ PayPal)
- 'Money Order' (or Cheque)
- 'Wait & Pay Later'
'Buy Now' option is the best option to choose if you want to receive your bear quickly. To use this method you will need to a Credit Card or PayPal account and will be able to pay for your $6.95 postage fee immediately. You can expect to receive your bear within 1-2 weeks paying by this option
'Money Order or Cheque' option should only be selected when you do not have a credit card or PayPal account available. This will require you to post in a printed confirmation along with a money order or cheque for the $6.95 postage fee. Your bear will not be sent until your money order or cheque has been received and verified, so you can expect to receive your bear within 3-4 weeks paying by this option.
'Wait & Pay Later' option allows you to wait and redeem the Full Set of Collect & Get bears at the same time. The postage fee is discounted to $31.95 total to receive all 6 bears at once. There are some rules for using this payment option you must be aware of, please click here
Note: with all payment options, please make sure you have your parents or guardians permission first.
Q. I accidently chose the wrong payment method for postage & handling, can I change it?
A. Once a payment method has been chosen it CANNOT BE UNDONE. This is why it is extremely important that you please get your parents or guardians approval first before choosing a payment method. If you are unsure please contact Skansen Customer Service to find out which payment method is right for you.
Q. Why can't I choose my own bear to redeem?
A. Like the 2010 program, this year you must also collect the bears in order. Each of this year's Collect & Get bears are part of a special story. To complete the story you have to collect the bears in order.
Also, this means that each new bear you collect in the set will be more valuable than the last. So a full set of this years Collect & Get bears will naturally be more valuable than a full set was during previous years.
Q. After you get six secret codes there is a picture of a Pirate Bear - is that the one you have to get or can you choose?
A. Please see the answer to the previous question. This year you cannot choose your bear. They must be collected in order.
Q. Why is the Collect & Get Program using PayPal?
A. The reason we are using PayPal for online payments is because it is one of the safest and easiest ways to pay online. You can pay with credit card or with your PayPal account. Having a PayPal account also offers free buyers insurance.
Q. What if I don't have a PayPal account?
A. If you want to pay by credit card but don't use PayPal that is fine. When you click the "Pay Now" button you should automatically be taken to a page where you can enter your credit card details. BUT if for some reason you get taken to the PayPal login page by mistake, all you have to do is click the link that says "Continue" on the left and you will be taken to the credit card payment page.
Q. I have a PayPal account but I cannot pay using my bank account?
A. Although if you have a PayPal account it allows you to pay with your bank account too, some bank accounts are known as 'echeque' and cannot be accepted. The reason we could not accept echeque is because the payments are not received immediately. If you want to pay by this option we recommend you deposit the money into your PayPal account first, and then pay using your PayPal balance.
Q. Will my Collect & Get bear be protected in the post?
A. Each Collect & Get bear we sent is packaged carefully before it is sent to you. For extra protection this year, we are including 1 free tag protector per bear at no extra charge. The tag protector will already be protecting the tag when it arrives to you.
Q. I am having trouble joining or signing-in to the Beanie Kids website?

Q. Should I buy sticker numbers for sale on eBay.com.au?
You may have noticed that some people are selling their sticker numbers on eBay. We strongly recommend you do not buy these sticker numbers because it is unlikely they will work. Any sticker numbers detected on eBay are usually cancelled and you will not be able to use them.
Q. I got this error when entering my sticker number: ERROR! there was an error communicating with the database?
A. You might see the following error when adding a sticker number to your passport: "ERROR! there was an error communicating with the database. Please try again later, or if the problem continues then contact us". This error happens when there is lots of people on the site accessing their passport at the same time. If you get this error please wait a few minutes and try again or try later.

- Cool downloads: For each FREE Beanie Kids you redeem you will get access to a bunch of cool downloads inside your Collect & Get passport. Just click on the 'Downloads' button when you open your passport!
