Snappy has now found a new home with the Vickery family in Queensland - here he is in his new BK cupboard, Anne and her family sent us the following e-note regarding Snappy and their wonderful day at Australia Zoo...
"Here is a photo taken of Snap in his new home. He is very happy here, surrounded by 4 little redemption baby Snap's, two very special photos of the Irwin Family and the DVD's and CD's produced by Steve and those from his Memorial song... we hope you like the way he is displayed.
My family would like to say a HUGE Thank You to Skansen Beanie Kids for coming up with the idea of Snap and allowing us to buy him; he will be treasured for everything he represents.
We would also like to thank Wildlife Warriors (especially Tracey and Michael) who took wonderful care of us on our visit to Australia Zoo on 3/11/06 and to both the Skansen team members especially Jenny who came along with us for most of the tour and were with us in the Crocoseum for the presentation and speeches.
Our day was full of from the time we arrived, meeting heaps of animals and sharing up close and personal experiences with each of them, including a huge python, wombat, dingo, owl, blue tongue lizard, koala, elephants and of course a real baby snap!
We also took a tour of the animal hospital where they will be putting the new bed that the fundraising money is paying for, to help injured animals in their recovery process, everyone was so amazing that we met and talked to, all my family are so grateful to everyone at the Zoo and Wildlife Warriors for making it a day we will never forget.
We really look forward to visiting again soon and catching up with everyone and becoming members of the Wildlife program."

Snappy meets the Vickery family for the first time at Australia Zoo for a very special day with the animals. The fantastic team at Wildlife Warriors and Australia Zoo wanted to do something special for the Vickery's to say thank you for their support and arranged a fantastic day for the family and the lucky Skansen staff who attended the day as well. October 5 2006 - A very Special Australian and his Wildlife Warriors
A huge thank you from everyone on Beanie Island and from Wildlife Warriors to everyone who made a bid for our ONE ONLY Giant Big Kid Snappy the Crocodile Bear!
With your help, we raised $9000.00 for Steve Irwin's Wild life Warriors.
Our highest bid went to Shayne Vickery and her family of Stafford Heights in QLD, who not only secured a very rare Beanie Kid but did so for a very worthy cause in support of the memory of a truly great Aussie.
The Family sent through this message:
"When we won snappy it was a 'family' decision to buy him for some personal reasons and also we support and live near aussie zoo, (about 100 kms away) so we know how much work wildlife warriors actually do helping the animals, so its not just me, its actually my entire family... We will send you a photo of snappy in his new home, but he is owned by the family not me soley... since that was our holiday money for this year... no mickey mouse for us this year (oh gee what a shame!) but I somehow think its going to a much better cause."
